Everything has got life, the Mineral Kingdom has got life, the Plant Kingdom has got life, and the Animal Kingdom has got life. We don’t know the life about mineral kingdom, unless we go down to that level, we cannot understand that there is life. But there is a great life in mineral kingdom. They respond to you. We have to show respect to each and everything. In our puranas, we have got many examples. During Dasara day, we do Ayudha Pooja. Why? Because we give respect to our instruments, so that they will work better for us. If we don’t give respect to the instruments, they will not work for us. So the concept of Ayudha Pooja is, we treat all the things with veneration because they demand.
Similarly for trees, you should not do unnecessary harm. If a road has to be constructed and if tree has to be cut, you have to ask permission that “We have to cut you, because there is a road”. We should not harm by plucking leaves and flowers of the trees unnecessarily. So what happens if you do harm, you will have harm.
So Spirituality is the great art of training yourself not to be harmed by others by way of not harming others. When you don’t harm others, then harm will not come to you. No Arrogance! Only Humility and reverence towards all Gods – Mineral Gods, Plant Gods, Animal Gods, Human Gods. When you give respect, you will have respect. When you do good, you will be done good. When you do bad, you will be done bad. We always keep on reaping benefits of our constant actions. Our actions are constant. We are always doing some karma or other. We are always reaping appropriate results of Karma – Karma Phalas.
If you treat the Mineral Kingdom badly, you will get those results! If you treat the Plant Kingdom badly, you will get those results! If you treat the Animal Kingdom badly, you will get those results! If you treat the Human Kingdom badly, you will get those results!
We are all on Earth. We call earth as Mother Earth. We are walking on Mother Earth. How careful we should be? So, it calls for lot of reverence! Spirituality is that reverence to all that is which is around you. Whatever is there in front of our eyes, our reverence for all these things which is around us. Our reverence is not to some Great people like Rama, Krishna who are not there, but for the living things around you. That is Spirituality!
Our surroundings are our world. Now we are here. America is not our world. Russia is not our world. This Pyramid Valley is our world. Suppose I go to America, then America is my world. There Pyramid Valley is not my world. So I have to take care of that, I have to show reverence to that.
Reverence to Bhakti, Devotion. Devotion to what? Devotion to the plants around you! Devotion to animals around you! Devotion to human beings around you! Devotion to mineral kingdom around you! That is Devotion! That is Bhakti!
A Buddha says take care of whatever is there around you. That’s Buddhahood! Showing reverence to whatever is around you that’s Buddhahood.
We have to have knowledge about other worlds, not bhakti. We should know, do research to know whatever is there beyond the senses. A man should do a research, what is beyond your five senses, what is beyond your mind.
Bhakti towards whatever is around you! Research of what is beyond! Reverence to all around you and a constant search for the beyond!
How do we do a constant search for the beyond? You close your eyes and sit. For two reasons, you have to sit! First, you take energy; you become highly energetic, and then second to do research in the beyond. Similarly meditators, they do meditation to see what is beyond the body, beyond the earth, beyond the galaxies, beyond that what happens. So meditators are like big Columbus. They sit here and close their eyes and observe the breath to know what is beyond them.
So, we have to sit, cool down our mind and make the mind empty. Then we come out of the physical body and go everywhere in the creation and we see what are there. We do research and come back. So the more you do research in the beyond, the more reverence you will have to all those whatever is there around you.
If you don’t know the beyond, if you don’t come into the Spirituality, then you don’t care for anything and you don’t show reverence to anything. You just kill everything! You kill the plants, you kill the animals, you kill the human beings and you kill all the earth. It is not at all necessary. Bhakti means reverence to all that is around you! Wherever you go, there is always something called as ‘around you’. So wherever you go, you show reverence to that around you.
Help the Environment.
Help the Plant Kingdom.
Help the Animal Kingdom.
Help the Human Kingdom.
That is Bhakti.
Not to those people who are dead and gone. But for those people who are living and who are around you. Bhakti towards all the beings around, the mineral beings, plant beings, animal beings and human beings, all that is around you.
What happens when you take care of all those people who are around you? Something Great happens! Do you know what that is? Masters from the other world, they come to you and help you in each and everything. They will come to you and show reverence to you, when you show reverence to whatever is around you. They see that your things are taken care by them. Whatever you think that you want, they are taken care by masters that is ‘Reaction’.
If you don’t take care of things around you, they will never bother about you. Because you don’t bother about others, they don’t bother about you. If you bother about others, they bother about you. You don’t know them. You don’t see them. You have not done Poojas or you have not done any reverence but they are always around you, catering to you. That is their job. That is their happiness to cater to you. And it is your privilege to be catered by them. What you have to show is reverence all around you, a helpful attitude. To be a Good Samaritan to all that is around you, never offend any life form. So my dear friends, so this is the type of Bhakti in Buddhism. A Buddha will always show reverence to all that is around him and do research in his meditation which is not around him.
Pyramid Spiritual Societies Movement is dedicated to Bhakti for all that is around you. What do plants need? You should touch them, touch the plants, just go and touch. Animals need touch, so you give all those things. Small children, they need touch, so you take small children. Bhakti is reverence to all that is around you. Bhakti does not mean “Sacrifice on your part! That is again nonsense. You take care of yourself, have yourself reverence. Pyramid masters are Great champions of Bhakti.
Where does Bhakti come from? Bhakti comes from Mukti! Mukti is release from Non Bhakti to Bhakti!
Bhakti is not to Lord Venkateshwara or Buddha! They are not in front of us. Whatever is beyond your senses, there is nothing for you to show reverence. It happened in 1980, on 1st January, I met a Great master Sadananda Yogi. I was with him for two and a half years. Whenever I was in Kurnool, I would go there and sit with my hands tied. He used to sleep on a small cot and I use to give him biscuits, give him tea, give him carrier and all those things for two and half years. My only job is to go and stay with him and listen to whatever he says. If he doesn’t speak, simply do meditation and come back. For two and half years, I have spent with him. One day, he said Subhash, “I am vacating the body, and you go and prepare my Samadhi!” So I went around located a place, prepared the Samadhi at Nandavaram. Then, on the appointed time he left his body. After that I did not go to Samadhi for next ten years, he is not for me. So, I don’t care for him, he is not in front of me. If he is in front of me, I took care of him. If he is away, I never went to Nandavaram. I never went to put any flower on the Samadhi. Out of sight is out of mind. There are so many other disciples. Every day, they used to go there, remember him but I don’t remember. I don’t care to remember. When he is there, he is there. When he is not there, he is not there.
I should not show Bhakti towards my departed guru, but I should show Bhakti to whatever is around me. That is what Bhakti is! That is what Spirituality is! If Rama is around you, you take care of Rama! If Rama is not around you, you don’t do Rama Bhajan! You are going to help the surroundings. I don’t have any Bhakti towards my departed Guru. But he comes to all those people who do meditation and he helps all the people to do meditation. It is his job to come.
When he was alive, it was my job to go to him; it was my job to care of him. But when he is in other worlds, it is his job to take care of me. And he will not give me any care, unless I show Bhakti to others. Even if I don’t give Bhakti during his life, he will not show me any care if I don’t show Bhakti to others.
So, Show consideration to mineral kingdom, plant kingdom, animal kingdom, human kingdom around you. And what would be the result, all the masters, they will come and help you in all the fashions. That is their job to do. You don’t have to call for them. You don’t have to pray for them. Masters they will see how considerate you are to fellow life forms. If the need arises in emergency case they will take care of us. Not in routine cases. Only in emergency cases, like Prahlada was being killed by his own father. Was he killed? He was not killed. Prahlada was not killed. Like, Draupathi got her clothes.
In emergency, supposing you are going through an accident, just somebody will come, lift you and put you on side. Otherwise, you are crashed. You lose the precious body and wait for one more lifetime for one more precious body. So you will not lose your precious body. If there is some danger they just come and lift you. You don’t know who has lifted, because you have been so helpful for others they are there for every emergency until you yourself want to vacate your body. That is Karma Phala you get for the Karma. If you are cutting animals and eating, if some accident is happening to you, they just see you, they don’t bother about you.
All around you is God.
Bhakti is reverence to all that is around you.
Bhakti towards Four Kingdoms.
Bhakti towards Mineral Kingdom.Bhakti towards Plant Kingdom.
Bhakti towards Animal Kingdom.Bhakti towards Human Kingdom
Thank You.. Thank You.. Thank You..
